A sword in the hand
ABOUT THE CREATORS "These guys ain't right in the head." Ed and Ezra met way back to high School in the early 90’s. Both hail from the same small town in southern Vermont. They have always shared a bizarre interest in music (Ed is a Metal Head and Ezra is a fan of alternative americana). Strange pair, right? Stranger still, they never once brought up comics when they talking about types of guitars and thier favorite bands. During the winter of 2016 Ed hit Ez up on Facebook, and asked if he was interested in helping create some artwork for an idea he had brewed up for a comic book. A long conversation into the night led to Ezra creating a few sketches of a winged Demon. One look and Ed knew this was what he had been envisioning, but could not draw. within days the two began writing and sketching a short series of pages and with that TEMPLAR came to life. Together, Ed and Ezra are creating a new comic book universe set in this mysterious world of mythological creatures, knights and magic. Brutality rules and the strong trample the weak. Templar is the last survivor of the Demon Clan, his people murdered by a Power hungry ruler. Born with a body that is able to heal almost any mortal wound his mind is in a constant battle for control over the “Blood Rage” that runs through his veins. His daily life is maintained through the medicinal use of Lambs Bloodroot, a rare fungus cultivated in dark caves in the central regions of his world.
My name is Ezra Veitch I am the Visual artist on Chronicles of Templar.
I live in New Hampshire with my amazing, talented family. It goes without saying, I love to draw! So much so that I am making a go at working as a full time comic book artist. I work digitally using Adobe CC Suite and Manga Studio 4ex on a Wacom 21ux Cintiq. Influences are Tim Truman, Frank Frazzetta, Larry Hama, Michael Golden, Kevin Eastman, Steve Bissette , my dad and, well, a whole lot more... follow me on Instagram @ezraveitch TwitchTV/redaxeVT ezraveitch.com Here's to making a living as comic book creator! Cheers!
My name is Ed Jendrzewski I am the writer of The Chronicles of Templar.
From a young age I loved comics and anything superheroes. From G1 Transformers to Christopher Reeve Superman movies and Lou Ferrigno as the Hulk. When it came to reading and collecting comics, my dad gave me some old Mad magazines from the 70’s and I was hooked. Soon came the Xmen, X-Force and all things Marvel. My true graphic novel obsession began when I was given a copy of Poison elves. Hayes’ cocky sarcastic humor and no bullshit attitude was awesome. Fast forward to 2007: Mr Hayes had passed and I was rocking a shit job. I was starting to write ideas and story lines in a notebook. My drawing talent was out the window so to bring my work to fruition I knew I had to find an artist. Many years and many artists came and went. Even the talented Andy Cogdill of “Really Lilly”, but nothing really clicked. Then a mutual friend, Josh “The Mosh” Mosher, reference Ezra from high school. I hit Ezra up on Facebook and BAM!… what I wrote came back as a visual image of what was in my head. you can follow me on Facebook @Templargraphicnovel & Instagram @Templargraphicnovel
